Next, we will prepare the egg mixture. Add 5 eggs, 1 tsp of cinnamon, ¾ cup of brown sugar, ¼ cup of milk, and 1-1/2 Tbsp of vanilla into a mixing bowl. Using a whisk, beat the egg mixture together until all ingredients are mixed well. Set aside for now. I prefer to use Watkins Pure Vanilla Extract. Pure vanilla is more flavorful and doesn’t have that artificial taste. |

While the bread is soaking, heat the griddle to 300 degrees. I use a Presto Electric Griddle. I bought it for around $30 at Walmart and use it all the time. Great price and quality. |

After the bread has soaked, spray the griddle with non-stick vegetable cooking spray. Place the stuffed bread flat side down onto the hot griddle and grill for 3-4 minutes or until the bread is golden brown. You can check the bread by gently lifting it up with a spatula and looking underneath. If the bread looks a little wet, leave it on the griddle for another minute or so. |

When done, remove from the griddle and place on a plate. Drizzle maple syrup over the top and sprinkle a little or a lot of confectioner’s sugar over the syrup. Enjoy! *This French toast can be refrigerated and reheated in the microwave without losing the quality and taste.
