Steps

The Batter

Whip up your favorite, from scratch or box, pancake batter.

Let's Color!

First, scoop out about 1 cup of your batter, add small amounts of the red gel food coloring at a time until you get the color you want. Stir until all the color is evenly mixed in the batter. Pour the colored batter into one of your squeeze bottles.

Next, color another 1 cup of your batter with the green gel food coloring. Pour the colored batter into the second squeeze bottle.

Lastly, pour the remainder of your uncolored batter into the third squeeze bottle.

Get To Drawing!

Lightly spray the griddle and the rim of your 6 inch round baking pan with cooking spray. Next, place your 6 inch round baking pan upside down onto your griddle. Using the uncolored batter, trace the rim of the baking pan to create a circle. With the baking pan still in place, allow bubbles to form in the batter. When you see bubbles forming, using oven mitts, carefully remove the baking pan.

Done

Add some color!

Using the red colored batter, draw out the word love or any other word(s) backwards. It's a little tricky but you've got this!

Next, using the green colored batter, draw wavy lines above and below the word you just drew.

Lastly, using the uncolored batter, draw a small square at the top of the ornament and fill in the pancake.

Cook the pancake until bubbles form all over it. Carefully flip the pancake over and cook the other side for 2-3 minutes.

6
Done

The finishing touches!

Sprinkle the yellow sanding sugar over the square at the top of the ornament and place red M&Ms in the blank spaces. Be creative and have fun!

Drizzle maple syrup over it and your done!
