1-1/4 cups Yellow Cornmeal
1 cup All-purpose Flour
6 tablespoons Butter, salted
2 tablespoons Sugar
1/2 teaspoon Baking Soda
1-1/2 teaspoons Baking Powder
1/4 teaspoon Salt
2 Eggs, large
1-1/2 cups 2% Milk
Vegetable Cooking Spray

Easy and Moist Cornbread Recipe

Fluffy, moist, tender and slightly sweet cornbread just like your granny use to make. Ditch the box, scratch is better!

Preheat your oven to 400 degrees F.

Lightly spray the bottom and sides of the 8 x 8 baking dish. Set aside for now.

In a medium-sized mixing bowl, whisk the cornmeal, flour, sugar, baking soda, baking powder and salt together.

Place the butter in a small, microwave-safe, bowl and microwave for 8-10 seconds at a time until the butter has fully melted.

Add the butter to the flour mixture.

Add the eggs and milk to the flour mixture. Using your whisk, combine all ingredients until smooth and lump free.

Pour the batter into your baking dish. Use a spoon to spread it evenly in the pan.

Bake for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick, inserted in the center, comes out clean.

Allow the cornbread to cool (no worries, it'll still be warm) for about 10 minutes before serving.
