Loaded Cauliflower Recipe

Steps

1
Done

Place the cream cheese on the counter to allow it to get to room temperature while you prepare the rest of this dish.

*Room temperature cream cheese will be easier to stir into the cauliflower later.

2
Done

Rinse the cauliflower head in cold water.

3
Done

On a cutting board, cut the florets from the cauliflower head. Throw away the stalk.

4
Done

Pour 2 Tbsp of water in a Pyrex 1-quart mixing bowl.

*I prefer Pyrex because they are durable and microwave safe.

5
Done

Place the cauliflower florets in the bowl. Turn a plate (large enough to cover the bowl) upside down and set it on top of the bowl.

6
Done

Set the bowl, covered with a plate, in the microwave and cook for 4-5 minutes.

The water at the bottom of the bowl and the plate covering the bowl will steam the cauliflower.

7
Done

When cooked, empty the cauliflower into a strainer/colander to drain any excess water.

8
Done

Add the cauliflower, butter, bacon bits, black pepper, salt and cream cheese to a mixing bowl.
*Oscar Mayer Real Bacon Bits tastes delicious and are full of that bacon flavor we all love!

9
Done

Using a fork, mash down on the cauliflower and cream cheese to break them down.

10
Done

Using a wooden spoon, stir everything together until the cream cheese has evenly coated the cauliflower. And you’re done! Enjoy!

*You can also add shredded cheese if you’d like.
