Place the cream cheese on the counter to allow it to get to room temperature while you prepare the rest of this dish. *Room temperature cream cheese will be easier to stir into the cauliflower later. |

Rinse the cauliflower head in cold water. |

Pour 2 Tbsp of water in a Pyrex 1-quart mixing bowl. *I prefer Pyrex because they are durable and microwave safe. |

Place the cauliflower florets in the bowl. Turn a plate (large enough to cover the bowl) upside down and set it on top of the bowl. |

Set the bowl, covered with a plate, in the microwave and cook for 4-5 minutes. The water at the bottom of the bowl and the plate covering the bowl will steam the cauliflower. |

When cooked, empty the cauliflower into a strainer/colander to drain any excess water. |
