If you have a Minecraft fanatic in your home, they will love this pancake! I don’t know about you but I am not good at drawing free-handed but I want to make so many creative pancakes. So, one morning, after making colorful pancakes with my little ones I thought, why not trace a picture!

Heat your griddle to 300 degrees. |

Print Your ImageI found an image, online, of Minecraft Steve, drew a Santa hat on the top of his head, saved it, printed it out in color (on standard paper), then trimmed it leaving a little white space on all sides. |

Prep Your Piping BagsI used piping bags to draw fine lines I just can't get with squeeze bottles. Fit your piping bags with couplers and tips and set aside for now. We will fill them soon. |

The BatterWhip up your favorite, from scratch or box, pancake batter. |

Let's Color!First, pour about 1/4 of your batter into a mixing bowl, add small amounts of the red gel food coloring at a time until you get the color you want. Stir until all the color is evenly mixed in the batter. Pour the colored batter into one of your already prepared piping bags. Secondly, color another 1/4 of your batter with the brown gel food coloring. Pour the colored batter into a piping bag. Thirdly, color 1 cup of your batter with the sky blue gel food coloring. Pour the colored batter into a piping bag. Lastly, pour the remaining uncolored batter into a piping bag. |

Get To Tracing!Cut two pieces of parchment paper a little larger than the image you printed. Lightly spray the griddle with cooking spray. Place one piece of parchment paper on the griddle. Lay your printed image on the parchment paper. Cover the image with the second piece of parchment paper. You've just sandwiched your image in parchment paper to keep it dry. Begin tracing the outlines of your image, alternating the colors. Next, fill in the areas such as the red for the hat, brown for the nose and beard, sky blue for the eyes, and uncolored for the face and parts of the Santa hat until you are done. Pull the bottom piece of parchment paper and the printed image out from under the top piece of parchment and allow the pancake (on the parchment paper) to cook. When you see bubbles all over the pancake, flip it, carefully remove the parchment paper and cook the other side for 2-3 minutes. |
